Innovations in cognitive computing, which enables autonomous functionality, are leading to the introduction of robots in retail. We advise retailers and technology firms as subject matter experts, and on devising analytics of value in consideration of these complex systems.
In conjunction with the Retail Analytics Council, PRI presented the first Retail Robotics & AI Conference, on April 26, 2018, in San Francisco. Speakers included retailers who are currently using robots in their stores, academics who are studying retail robotics and the use of AI in the retail environment, and data scientists who focus on using data to personalize and improve the customer experience. Designed for retailers, the conference attendees included representatives from American Eagle Outfitters, Gap, Kroger, Levi Strauss, Macy’s, Price Chopper Supermarkets, Sam’s Club, Sears, Walmart, and many others.
